Let the Season Begin!
About
the Coaches:
Jesse Ortiz played on the SSU Men's
Volleyball Team from 2001-2004. He was a member of the 2004 NCCVL
State Championship team which finished the season 9th overall in the
nation. He began coaching at Windsor High School in 2002 as the Freshmen
Coach. In 2003, he coached at the middle school in Windsor and later
became the J.V. Volleyball coach at the High School. He began coaching
at the Empire Volleyball Club in 2003 and is a current coach for the
prestigious club.
In 2004, Jesse began coaching at Petaluma High School as the Varsity
coach, where he led the Lady Trojans to their first play-off appearance
in five years. Jesse also began coaching the Sonoma State Men's
Volleyball team in 2005, guiding the team to an 18th overall finish in
the nation. In 2006 the Seawolves were second in the NCCVL and finished
5th overall in the nation under Coach Ortiz
Ben
Stern comes to us from San Diego and the San Diego Volleyball Club.
Playing at Scripps Ranch High School, her was a first team all CIF
Middle Blocker. In 2005, he became the starting Middle Blocker on the
Sonoma State Men's Volleyball team which finished 18th overall in the
country. He was a member of the 2006 team that finished 2nd in the NCCVL
Championship and 5th overall in the nation. Ben Stern has helped sustain
the Seawolves position as one of the elite programs in the country and
one of the best teams in California. In 2005, Coach Stern took over the
Junior Varsity team at Petaluma High School. He is looking to help
the Lady Trojans make a run as the top J.V. Team in the SCL. |
